Pezzy pillow

I decided I needed some new pillows for my couch, so I'm on a mission to make several.....  here is my first!  It is 16'' finished with a 14'' pillowform.  I've done the overstuffed with a larger pillowform than cover and it's lovely to look at but not as functional to me.  We like to have pillows in our laps when we sit and watch TV and I think this will be more comfy because it will have more 'give'.

I put a zipper in this one - and that was a disaster, LOL.  First time around I sewed in in backwards!  (with the pull on the INside of the pillow).  So, had to take the zipper out and sew it back in the RIGHT way, LOL).  I also machine stitched the binding (as if it was a quilt) and I think it turned out pretty well!

I did a LOT of quilting on this one.  About every half inch in both directions on the front.  I think I used 5 bobbins for this whole pillow!

And about every half inch one way on the back.  It should have lots of great texture once it's washed!

I think my next one will be a WeePlay one - still deciding on the pattern for that though :)  Maybe small HST's.....
