fusible batting?

Has anybody tried fusible batting like this for their quilts to be quilted on a DSM (domestic sewing machine)?
I'd like to give it a try - would love to hear if you've had success with it!  I'd be using it on full/queen size quilts if I used it.......

  1. I've not used this Karin but I like the sounds of it very much - no basting! I quilt on a DSM so, would be interested to see how it compares to normal wadding.

  2. I used a different brand when I was free-motion quilting a wall quilt back in October and it was an absolute nightmare. My needle kept gumming up and then the stitches would go all wonky....I wound up using Sewers Aid and scraping the goo off the needle every couple of minutes because I couldn't bear to trash the project.

Love your honeybun Scrappy Trips -- that looks fun!

  3. Hmmm, I think I had some of this and used it on a small project (or maybe I just still have it and have never used it - sorry, I have CRS). But, Michelle's experience doesn't sound fun at all! Can you cut off a little and try it out first on your machine??
