62 arcs

62 DWR (double wedding ring) arcs that is.

While hubby watched football on Sunday, I sewed instead!  I am paper-piecing these with the free pattern found here and it is SLOW going.  I have 62 down and I-don't-know-how-many-more to go.  Until I run out of the Hello Betty jelly roll I cut into 2.5'' squares I guess!
Only one problem - I need a couple solids to use for the cornerstones.  I'd like to use the red and the aqua - and there wasn't enough in the jelly roll to do them all.  Does anybody know (or know how to find out) what colors those are and if they are in a Bella solid?  I have a color chart for Konas, but not one for Moda Bellas.  Oh, and the off-white in this collection background seems to be a bit darker than Snow too, a little more 'dusty' looking like the rest of the colors.

I have a first coming up - a first time to use a longarm!  I am meeting with a local quilter at her house to 'rent' time on her longarm!  I am so excited!  I can't wait to share when the time comes (this is for a secret project, but I do plan to quilt my scrappy trip around the world quilt next).

  1. I have no idea how to find the matching colors unless you have a Bella color card, maybe Google "matching solids Hello Betty" some of the shops sometimes make matching bundles and you find out the color names that way? Have fun at the longarm machine, I've been contemplating doing that myself!

  2. Can't help with the fabrics (sorry), but I'm loving the arcs! I think you will love the longarm - looking forward to hearing all about it!
